Last Wednesday I took some important clients out to dion for lunch before they headed back to the US. We all chose the Beef Wellington and I selected the Nuits-St-Georges, Roches de Bellene, Vielles Vignes, 2008. The beef was cooked precisely as requested and was excellent, the wine was elegant but with a freshness and vibrancy which perfectly complimented the beef. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the service was attentive without too much fuss and pomp and my clients were suitably impressed. I would like to thank James who looked after us very well, we will be back again.
